Shaving Israel is the result of the efforts of many people especially those on our very hard working board. In particular, Rachel Miller, a survivor of the Holocaust, was instrumental in the creation and founding of this organization.
Rachel believes that the State of Israel is the ultimate refuge for the Jews of the Diaspora. Her horror at the sight of the extraordinary number of Israel Defense Force (IDF) members rationed simple toiletries brought back her own terrible memories. She had to do something for members of the IDF who are in need or deprived of family support systems.
Shaving Israel is doing something. We are the only ALL VOLUNTEER 501(C)3 organization educating US citizens about the dire call for toiletries, personal items and food in what is seen, from the outside, as the region’s strongest military.

We have already raised thousands upon thousands of dollars for the cause; yet, Shaving Israel is only 24 months from its inception. We are also reaching out in the community to get our message out.
As part of our mission we arrange to make all purchases in the State of Israel thus enriching her economy.
